According to a brand new report, it seems that WhatsApp has eliminated the power to view the net status of a Business account within the latest Android beta version.
When you’re chatting with a business account from WhatsApp beta for Android 220.127.116.11, you will just see “Business account” instead of “online” or “last seen today at…”: so Business accounts can be invisible on WhatsApp, at least if the recipient is using the latest Android beta.
This drastic change implements on WhatsApp Android users. It’s still possible to see the online status and last seen from WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for iOS.
This change will also roll out for iOS and WhatsApp Web users but in the next beta update.
According to WABetaInfo, a few testers reported that version 18.104.22.168 of WhatsApp beta for Android included a noteworthy change, which did away with the ability to view whether a Business account was currently active on the app.
While the leaker initially believed it to be a bug, but later managed to confirm that the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. It appears that along with the online status, the “last seen” is also no longer visible.
The online status indicator was also added to WhatsApp Business when the service was first launched in 2018 for small businesses. However, the Facebook-owned company is reportedly testing the very rare removal of a feature.
The elimination of the net characteristic on WhatsApp for Business is most requested. Many customers requests to remove this feature.
