Windows 11 is arriving in a couple of days. Finally, the company has revealed that it will be available from 5 October 2021. Windows 11 is arriving with lots of changes and new features.
The ability to run Android apps on PC is one of the biggest features that Windows 11 is bringing. But there is a twist as the users have to wait for this feature even longer.
Microsoft reveals that it will only start previewing this feature in the “coming months.” But the Company hasn’t clearly mentioned the month when it offers this feature to the users. This means that Android apps won’t arrive on Windows 11 until 2022.
Aaron Woodman, general manager of Windows marketing at Microsoft, said.
“We look forward to continuing our journey to bring Android apps to Windows 11 and the Microsoft Store through our collaboration with Amazon and Intel; this will start with a preview for Windows Insiders over the coming months”
Microsoft explains that it will first test this feature with Windows Insiders and then releases it after a few weeks or months.
Windows 11 will be available as a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs. Microsoft expects that all the eligible Windows 10 PCs get upgraded by May 2022.
The Official Report on the Windows Twitter Account confirms that Windows 10 users be waiting until 2022 for the free upgrade:
The company will use ‘intelligence models’ that consider hardware, reliability metrics, age of the device, and other factors to locate the eligible devices.
However, the new laptops and PCs running Windows 11 start to be sold from that date.
